Terms of service

Horizon Early Landcruisers Pty Ltd is an independent repairer and restorer of early Landcruisers, specialising in
the 60 series models. We are a business that repairs, restores and services these vehicles, but we are not endorsed
by or affiliated with a manufacturer or dealer.
Quotations
*Diagnostic quotation estimates are valid for up to 14 days
Major failure and minor failure
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Trade Practices Act 1974 and Australian
Consumer Law.
For major failures with the work, you are entitled:
*to cancel further work with us
*to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
*If the failure does not amount to a major failure you are entitled to have problems with the work rectified in a
reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your work with us and obtain a refund for the unused portion.
*If a failure with the parts or service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in
a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any
unused portion.
Post restoration or repair due diligence
*In recognition of the aging of the 60 series, the following post repair work is required to be carried out by Horizon
Early Landcruisers Pty Ltd where feasible, or a licensed vehicle repairer:
- If suspension work was carried out - retorque all nuts and bolts at 1000kms
-Brake work; check all new parts fitted at 2 weeks for any movement and rectify if required
-General work; check all fittings and connections at 1 week to ensure there has been no movement or
rubbing.
Exceptions
*Vehicles while being towed and transported by a professional service provider.
*In acknowledgement of the aging of the 60 series Landcruiser which was manufactured 1980-1990, not all parts will
be supplied new, due to unavailability of some parts from time to time. When new parts are not available, used and
reconditioned or reproduction parts which are fit for purpose may be utilised.
Warranty on Used Parts
*limited warranty coverage is available on used or reconditioned parts when utilised and is specific to the failed part;
i.e. not to the entire repair or related components.
*Used parts utilised in services, repairs and restorations are warranted for 3 months or 5000kms, unless used
inappropriately or with malicious or destructive conduct.
*Used parts sold in isolation are sold to customers as fit for purpose but are not warranted.
Warranty claims
All work is tested and vehicles are deemed safe and fit for purpose prior to being returned to the customer.
If in the unlikely event of a failed part or issue with the work please made direct contact to discuss and redeem the
issue. As part of the warranty process the fault will be diagnosed initially by Horizon Early Landcruisers Pty Ltd who
will report to the customer directly to confirm warranty.
